About me
Marty Steffens holds the SABEW endowed chair at the University of Missouri where she teaches business and financial journalism. She joined the University in 2002 after a 30-year career in news, with leadership positions in large and medium-size newsrooms. She’s had a long standing interest in medicine, and once served as Science and Medicine News Editor for the Los Angeles Times. She is this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award and has organized many workshops for SABEW in the last two decades.
