David J. Lynch is The Washington Post’s global economics correspondent. He previously wrote for The Financial Times, Bloomberg News and USA TODAY, where he was the founding bureau chief in London and Beijing. He was the paper’s first recipient of a Nieman fellowship and has reported from more than 60 countries. He has authored two books, most recently The World’s Worst Bet: How The Globalization Gamble Went Wrong (And What Would Make It Right.)
